3. Bay Ridge Volunteer Fire Co.

   Created in 1949, this volunteer fire department response is to: suppress and control fires, perform extrication at motor vehicle accidents, water related emergencies, medical emergencies, and any other emergency or hazardous situation in which the fire company, its manpower or equipment may be of assistance.  Additionally, the department will promote fire safety awareness in the community.  This may be done by providing fire prevention instruction to children and adults. 4. North Queensbury Volunteer Fire Co.

   Created in 1948, this volunteer fire department consists of over 50 members who respond to all manner of emergencies 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. 5. Queensbury Central Volunteer Fire Co.

   Founded in 1948, the Queensbury Central Volunteer Fire Company was created to protect the lives and property of the people of Queensbury from fires, natural disasters, and hazardous materials incidents; to save lives by providing Emergency Medical Services; to prevent fires through prevention and education programs. 8. Bay Ridge Rescue Squad

   Bay Ridge Rescue Squad, Inc. was organized in 1957 and currently serves as one of three emergency squads serving the town of Queensbury.
